I have never been great at decorating for the holidays. In the past, we always traveled. It just didn’t make much sense for me to decorate since we were never home. I always told myself that once we had children, I wanted to make the holidays so magical by creating memories and going all out with fun holiday decorations. Let’s be real, I have yet to do this! In my defense, Luke isn’t even 2 so I guess I’m not too far behind. ha.
It can be so easy to get carried away with pricy holiday decor. Remember, holiday decor does not need to be expensive! You can create a simple yet elegant look using Dollar store finds! The “creepy cloth” and black glitter spiders are from Dollar Tree! The mini knit pumpkins came in an 8 pack form Target for $8! Score!!! I absolutely love the way this little corner in Luke’s playroom turned out!
PS. My sweet cousin created the calligraphy on Luke’s craft paper & I am OBSESSED! She is amazingly talented! We keep joking that we need to put our creativity together & open an Etsy store with digital downloads. Maybe someday! 🙂
